About Baby Village & Me
My name is Veronika Pavlisova and I am an Independent Certified Instructor of the Baby Signs Programme, a certified infant massage instructor (CIMI) with Baby Massage Ireland, the Irish chapter of the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) and a Mother and Baby Yoga teacher qualified by Birthlight.
I truly enjoy working with parents and their babies, my own daughter was and still is a big inspiration for Baby Village.
It began with signing...I was introduced to signing with hearing babies first when I was pregnant. As I had no previous experience using this form of language, I was a little bit dubious about it, but I was excited about the prospect of communicating with my baby before she could even speak. I started to sign with my daughter Lillian when she was about 9 months old. And it worked! The smile and excitement on her face, when she signed the word ‘light’ to me, was amazing and assured me that all the effort I made to teach her signs was worth it. Actually it was fun and very easy! I wanted to share this wonderful experience I had with my daughter with others. And that's how I became a Baby Signs Instructor.
I also qualified as a Baby Massage Instructor in May 2010 and Baby Village was born :)
As I became more and more interested in small babies, I started my training for Mother and Baby Yoga with Birthlight in Sep 2010 and finally finished in Aug 2011.
Baby Massage classes are held in Dalkey, Dun Laoghaire, Sandymount and Terenure. I am starting a new Mother and Baby Yoga class in Terenure in Jan 2012.
